This comprehensive approach enables the development of the capabilities, products, processes and services necessary to design a sustainable reality accessible to all, respecting both the environment and communities and influencing every Company project.
In 2023, we significantly increased our investment in innovation compared to the previous year. Of the project portfolio, 68 are R&D and 124 are innovation. Additionally, the Company has carried out 17 projects outside Spain worth €196m, equivalent to 68.4% of the total innovation figure reported.

The Construction Technology Center aims to provide ACCIONA works with technological products or services to give them a competitive and differential value compared to other companies in the sector. It also seeks to generate a positive impact on cost or time and contribute to minimizing environmental and social damage while creating and developing new technologies that can generate new businesses for ACCIONA.
ACCIONA has developed its own technology for recycling and sorting of composite materials through low-temperature thermal recycling processes in a controlled atmosphere.
We have implemented a robotic solution for partitioning in building projects, the first operational implementation in the construction sector in the Iberian market (Spain and Portugal).
Work has been done on using green hydrogen with portable power systems for on-site use.

ACCIONA Energía launched, along with El Ganso, a line of sports shoes whose soles are made from materials from wind turbine blades that had reached the end of their useful life.
In addition to carrying out innovative projects for blade recycling, ACCIONA Energía has announced the construction of Waste2Fiber, an industrial-scale wind turbine blade recycling plant.
